WHAT ARE THEY?
Touch courts offer a micro version of padel. Played mainly as singles they can be used as a training game to learn the basics f padel but is also a competitive game in its own right. The playing area is similar in design to padel court, with glass walls, grill and central net but on a smaller scale, typically 30-40% in size of a full doubles court.

Touch Padel is perfect to learn to art of control - essential for padel. Its a fun way to get started with the game in a safe environment with just one other player. Also great for a pre match warm up or to beat your mates one on one.

HOW DOES TOUCH PADEL HELP MY PADEL?
Footwork & Fitness
Its singles, its fast, its intense. The court may be smaller, but you hi many more balls in a shorter space of time which gives you a fantastic workout almost immediately. Playing almost exclusively off the glass means your feet need to move fast and constantly!
Playing user pressure
It’s a small area and mistakes get punished so it is critical to play with a cool head and keep your opponent thinking, moving and hitting one more ball – just like padel.
Tactics & Decision making
Knowing when to come to the net to volley (i.e. when your opponent is under pressure), knowing when to play an angled shot, when to lob, when to change the direction of the ball and use the glass effectively.
Technique
Hitting Chquita’s! Find a way to play soft but attacking shots consistently at different angles, while your opponent is close to the net.
Mastering the glass
Unlike padel, where the ball bounces into the glass on some points but not all, it is likely to happen on nearly every shot in touch padel. This means that your play off the glass (timing and movement in particular) improves rapidly for when you get back on a padel court.
